With the UK and the US dominating on this site I wondered how many albums from other countries you had on your top 100 apart from those two. In my case I have 8 countries apart from the UK+US, giving a total of 23 albums:

Canada 5 albums
Spain (where I'm from) 5
Israel 3 (2 mixed with UK)
Poland 2
France 2
Sweden 2
Italy 1
Norway 1

23% may seem little but I feel that my chart would be weaker and less diverse without them, and I hope to increase the percentage by looking out for less commercial gems outside these two countries.

As you can see, I am counting mixed albums as non-UK/US.

BEA lists 15 but I think it's best to say 13 countries in all, so that's 11 beside UKSA.

USA 55%
UK 25 (including Leila cataloged as Iranian)
Germany 6
France 5 (including Alain Péters cataloged as "Réunion" which is silly since it's not a nationality but nvm)
Australia, Nigeria, Canada, Jamaica, Ireland, Brazil, Ethiopia, Argentina, Guinea 1

US, UK, Germany, France, Norway, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Netherlands are explicitly represented. At least South Africa, Japan, China, Switzerland, Denmark, and Belgium are also present in the mixed nationality picks.

I voted 4 in the poll, but on checking it is actually 6. 5 from Canada, 2 each from Australia, China and Brazil and 1 each from Denmark and Germany. Also...three mixed nationality albums. My 2010s chart is probably my most international, with US releases accounting for only 41 per cent of entries and UK releases are mere 4 per cent, and 13 other countries besides those two represented.

Rememeber the poll asks for number of ALBUMS from other countries, not number of countries. The topic title may be misleading, sorry. I'm curious about the person who voted 40+, maybe he could post his stats?

Aren't 100 albums I'm willing to chart at this point... only 24... but if I multiply both that and my number of countries by 4 I get 20/100

I have 8:

Canada - 3
Ireland - 2
Jamaica - 1
Norway - 1
Australia - 1

Plus I could include Germany with Nico's contribution to the Velvet Underground & Nico album.

Well, I read too fast and missed this as well. I voted 1-4 because I have 2 other countries listed, but it's 11 albums.

Canada: 10
Panama: 1

For purposes of this poll, I would probably lump Canada in with US/UK as an exclusion.

I was surprised when I realized how few are in my top 100. There are albums I truly love from Italy, Netherlands, Finland, and tiny little Benin. I just didn't manage to get them in my top 100 when I first built my list. I may need to reevaluate.
