Like Mendelssohn's Italian Symphony, Schubert confused it with his Scottish symphony, how could you confuse Italy with Scotland! and a music expert no less!

Okay but this is demonstrably false, proven by the very fact that, like real-life moments and experiences, no two works are exactly the same -- ever. And there are obviously varying degrees of uniqueness/creativity, which is observable to one in proportion to their knowledge and experience with said art form(s). (Beethoven is a much more unique phenomenon in music history than Coldplay ... etc ... though one might not realize this without any further knowledge/experiences to compare to, such as if Coldplay and Beethoven were the first two music artists they discovered and hadnt moved further from that yet.)

I attribute the stark differences between different music to coincidence, there are limitless ways to make a melody for example, although yes your personality is definitely a part of it. The best composers exhibit a variety of moods and feelings however, not just their own. I can often tell what composer made a piece just by hearing it, but it has more to do with craftsmanship than expression.

I removed the bit about top-down as that is no longer the case and my ratings will update accordingly, when I get around to it.
@Tap - I don't know if I'm locked out - haven't tried in a while.

Curious to see your revisions on both your list and this article (unless they're already there and I missed it?)
