Recently I've really been getting into hip hop and rap and stuff like that, mainly modern classics like kendrick lamar, kanye west and tribe called quest. Today I attempted to listen to some beatles, but couldn't do it because of how much I like hip hop. It'll be a phase (like my dance music phase) but I'm gonna indulge in it... So any albums to reccomend or just songs that you think I'll like?

I'd ease-in to mumble/trap rap if you're bigger into more melodic/conscious stuff. These are some sharp Hip Hop albums from the last decade I think you'd get a kick out of.

4eva Is A Mighty Long Time by Big K.R.I.T.

Known Unknowns by Billy Woods

Rap Album Two by Jonwayne

Brick Body Kids Still Daydream by Open Mike Eagle

Strange Journey Volume Three by CunninLynguists

Kanye (All)
Lupe Fiasco (F&L, The Cool and mixtapes)
Kendrick (GKMC and TPAB)
Future
Young Thug
Brockhampton (Half rapping half singing group but everything they put out is really good)
Drake (I know a lot of people don't like him but I'm a fan. Just not Views. IYRTITL is my fav)

Control System by Ab-Soul
Honestly just check out everyone on TDE...Jay Rock's '90059', Isiah Rashad's 'The Suns Tirade', and ScHoolBoy Q's 'Blank Face' are worth checking out as well.

Atrocity Exhibition by Danny Brown
Also XXX & Old by Danny Brown if you like his style.

Because The Internet by Childish Gambino

Doris by Earl Sweatshirt

Vacation In Hell by Flatbush Zombies

Flower Boy by Tyler, The Creator

Modal Soul by Nujabes

Also definitely check out MF' Doom's various personas and other classic artists like Jay-Z if you haven't already.

If you like instrumental hip-hop don't miss out on Dj Shadow or J Dilla.

Since you like Kanye definitely check out all the shit he's been apart of so far this year. Pusha T's Daytona and Kids See Ghost are amazing, and he just produced Nas' new album as well. If you like Kids See Ghosts, check out Kid Cudi's classic 'Man On The Moon'.

There's so much more...honestly...this is just some quick recommendations off the top of my head that you may enjoy.
