Ranking Dread was arrested by the Jamaican police for shooting a cop, escaped from jail for long enough to record his dub masterpiece Ranking Dread In Dub with King Tubby & Scientist. his friend Tapper Zukie then helped him flee to England where he started hanging out and partying with reggae stars, but he was extradited to Jamaica to return to jail for the rest of his life very shortly after having just released one of the finest treasures in dub music which he recorded entirely while being wanted for murder and prison escape
Now, that's a good story.
BTW this all started because I'm about to order a book on this sad fellow named Craig Smith who renamed himself Maitreya Kali, and thought that he was the next Christ.
