Very cool and interesting chart. It looks like it was quite a project. I'm not sure I could even name 100 scores I'm familiar with, let alone rank them.

And how to assess soundtracks/scores is always a tough nut in the first place. Do I assess the music purely on it's merit as music/my personal enjoyment in listening to it... or do I have to consider it's place in the broader media for which it was composed? Great music might not be the best fit for the visual art, and versa.

For instance, this one is full of great songs I'm happy to listen to independent of the movie:

However, this one while having great music, the music is most powerful when associated with the big screen images it accompanies. That is to say that while I'm happy to listen to this music itself, its overwhelming value is in how it supports... and propels the story.

Goddamn it I kept thinking of obscure stuff to recommend and then it would be the next thing to appear on the list.

This is the definitive soundtracks/scores chart. Well done.

Currently jamming out to Belladonna. Definitely a winner.

I'm going to chuck a few other favourites in here because why not:

Me And You And Everyone We Know by Michael Andrews
Red Dead Redemption Original Soundtrack by Various Artists
Under The Skin by Mica Levi
The Master by Jonny Greenwood
Also if it counts, since the movie didn't end up getting made: Last Ex by Last Ex

When you divide all 100 albums by zero you still get a zero. Guess that's what you get from charts made by shady bay-area socialists. Sad!

Also Id humbly reccomend the soundtracks to New York Ripper, It Follows and Cherish.

oh hey this chart
how bout that

so I've never actually seen Vergogna Schifosi, but clearly I need to (and then listen to the soundtrack independently of course)

which relates to Fischman's question. basically there's no real science to how the chart is organized, but it general it is based on how much I enjoy listening to them independently as albums. That said I have seen/played the actual media of everything on here, and there's nothing I don't also enjoy in that context. If I were ranking these based on how much I specifically enjoy them specifically in the context of their native media, the order would definitely be different but probably not that different. though that's just a guess idk, might make an alternate version who knows

would highly recommend the movie as well. assuming you're up for anime that looks more like a series of paintings than anime and is also a surreally erotic Freudian nightmare/psychedelic joan of arc allegory.

I haven't seen Me And You And Everyone We Know but I'll definitely give it a watch and give the soundtrack a listen a listen. I like RDR, Under the Skin, and The Master quite a bit, though I'm not sure I'd quite put them here (then again I've also not listened to their respective soundtracks independent of their native media either so maybe I should give that a go).

and I'm only including stuff that has corresponding media that I can and have consumed, so while Last Ex wouldn't qualify, I'll still 1000% check it out

oh shit I forgot about New York Ripper that's a rly good call. not listened to the soundtrack by itself but I remember really enjoying it in context. and I've been putting off It Follows and Cherish forever so yeah I need to get on those
