I went through all of Laura Marling's albums a few years ago, and this one didn't leave much of an impression. I remember thinking that her first great album was the one following this - A Creature I Don't Know.

Still, she was my age when she made this, and that's impressive! She just hadn't quite found her voice yet.

My favourite albums of hers are Once I Was An Eagle and Semper Femina. They are fantastic. Also I like her debut.

Probably my favourites too. Her last 3 under her own name have been great, each for different reasons. OIWAE had great flow, Short Movie had better individual songs, and Semper Femina had some interesting experimentation.

Her LUMP side project with Mike Lindsay is also fantastic.
