Both albums are a bit etherical; I already listened to Planetarium in 2017 an I relistened to it today; I really appreciate that it’s a totally ambitieus album but there’s sth I miss; some of the the tracks are destroyed for me by the autotune use and others don’t really lead to sth; so while I do like some of them the album as a whole doesn’t work for me; but overall it’s still a bit better than wanderwelle

Two great albums, but I have to go with the Sufjan Stevens record. Not only are its otherworldly* textures and atmospheres the equal of Wanderwelle, but it has some damn good songs as well. Its well-executed concept is also a big positive. I hope it wins and goes deep in the tournament, but it's not even my favorite Sufjan Stevens record from 2017. That would be:
Carrie & Lowell Live by Sufjan Stevens
This takes the great songs from his 2015 record, plus several extras, and presents them with a fresh new sonic palette. Sensational performances and a must for anyone who likes his music.
