So if I understand this correctly, everyone ranks their top 10 albums, which receive from 10 points to 1 point, and their bottom 5 albums, which receive from -5 points to -1 point. It's a pretty good system for doing the whole thing at once, which I'm not particularly interested in, because I like the tournament aspect. How would you do it for a tournament? Eliminate half the albums each round? Partway through, there would not be enough albums to support the dual positive and negative scoring system.

Voting systems are pretty complex to talk about even if both people are fluent in the same language! And I'm actually pretty happy with the voting system we used this year, so I don't know if we can come to an agreement. But it's a cool idea and thanks for taking the time to explain it.

My interest is not to draw attention to myself, much less to be involved in administration.
At the same time I like to participate in games to determine the best releases of the year.
With a knockout or circle.
The more there are, the better.
And I’ll definitely try not to miss your next tournament.
It is a pity that this time I did not have time to submit my application.

The tournament interest of the proposed option may be as follows:
Hold in the Top 10 more interesting albums to you.
Suppose you are currently entering the game.
The summary table is based only on my one rating.
Albums in the game: 40 + 1 (mine).
Suppose most of the 40 albums offered by other members are of no interest to you.
But from 40 albums you still need to choose 10 with positive ratings and 5 with negative.
If your list is less than 15 positions, it will be logical to reduce the strength of your voice.
Most likely, you will vote against the albums that are at the very top, if they are indifferent to you. In any case, I did it.
If you find time and make your list, we will calculate what the result will be.
Of course, you can choose 15 completely different albums and our points will not intersect.
Therefore, the more participants, the more interesting.
But when there are too many of them, then it’s definitely impossible to do without electronic voting.
And your option is then irreplaceable.

The main issue I can foresee with that particular method of voting is that it requires the voter - if, that is, they want to vote fairly - to listen to a whole lot of albums in one block before voting. The head-to-head method means that I can listen to the albums as their matches are put up, which is a much more reasonable pace.

The attitude to the albums is changing.
Some only benefit from the fact that you have not had time to truly appreciate them.
When you play in a cup, you have no margin for error.
With such a circular system, you can change not only your grades, but even the team.
The complexity is just in administration.
You need to manually change the scores in Excel to get a new summary table.

Three hours to cast your ballots and to update your charts to include your tournament discoveries (additional trophies awarded to the three albums with the biggest gains).
