That Phillip Glass album was for Tha1ChiefRocka. Although obviously there's nothing stopping you from listening to it outside that thread.

I guess all I can say is wait to hear it all before calling it boring. "Me And Michael" is probably my song of the year right now - what a banger.

Oh that was for Chief? Damn that thread is legitimate bonkers. Though I'm curious if I have an album to listen to in that thread? But with that notion, I do have at least three albums.

Not at the moment. You will when someone posts below your latest one with a rec.

Little Feat are maybe my favorite southern rock band, so I checked this out, as I had never heard it:

Waiting For Columbus by Little Feat

The track listing on BEA was the CD reissue, not the original vinyl version, so I edited it to add "Don't Bogart That Joint" and "A Apolitical Blues." This was a really good live album. A long record that felt half its length, flowed really well, and featured some great playing.

~~~~~
My recommendation to check out for your chart:
Lanquidity by Sun Ra
~~~~~

And I'll leave this chart for whoever's next - just updated but still very much a work in progress:

The Pendulum Vibe by Joi (US)

Goddamn, I knew Joi from her being on a lot of hip hop records that I've listened to, but this album is way underrated. It will be added to my 94 chart for sure.

I would recommend this album for 94, as it is one of my favorites.

Whiskey For The Holy Ghost by Mark Lanegan

Here's a pretty thin list from me. I don't like this year much.

Whiskey For The Holy Ghost by Mark Lanegan

Yeah, this was good. Mellow, melancholy singer/songwriter rock that will be going in my 94 chart for sure. Had no familiarity with anything involving him except the joint EP between Beat Happening and Screaming Trees.

Ah, seeing Rowland and Future of the Left so high up side-by-side will always put a smile on your face. For something I haven't heard:

ሙላቱ አስታጥቄ [Mulatu Astatke]

This is excellent, can't say I've ever dabbled in Ethiopian Jazz before but this is really compelling stuff, the right balance between mysterious and elegant. Should try more from him, notice this is actually much older material but 2009 but ah still fits the criteria I suppose?

And I guess for a yearly chart, this was the one I most recently updated:

Red State by Gowns
So I picked this album and had a nice surprise when I found out Erika Anderson was involved. I really love Past Life Martyred Saints amd it's nice to hear another great album with her voice in it. Yes I enjoyed Red State very much. You can clearly see the connection between the sounds on this album and what she came to do later as EMA, I also found out she has played for a while with Amps For Christ which is also a band I admire. I find all this noisy folksy things very enjoyable.

Some other albums from the list caught my eye.. I might try out that Gris album sometime later.
I'm also quite fond of Blackout

I'll leave a chart if anybody wants to do this https://www.besteveralbums.com/thechart.php?c=46278

'82's definitely a year a need to dig deeper into...

Pygmy Love Song has been in my queue for a bit, but I've never gotten around to it. And I'm fond of Clementina De Jesus, so I don't see any reason for O Canto Dos Escravos not to join it.

Probably along with these:
Dé-Coll/age Musik
Monotonprodukt 07
Cores, Nomes
The What Of Whom
Por Este Rio Acima
Synthesizing: Ten Ragas To A Disco Beat
On The Way To The Peak Of Normal
Comissão De Frente
Odbrana I Poslednji Dani (also in the queue a while...)

Some strong picks around the board though. I've only heard 17 off of here, but they're great choices.

I'll throw my '76 chart into the ring, but I have been trying to get more people to check out 50's music, so if anyone wants to skim through those (albeit somewhat sloppy) charts of mine, that'd be cool. Trying to cement a solid '58 or '59 chart soon.

The format we were using is 1. Listen to one album you haven’t from the chart above you and give a brief review 2. Recommend one album from that year to the author of the chart above you. 3. Leave one of your own charts.

So CGD, you would also recommend a 2009 album for Chief, brun027, you would also recommend a 2007 album for CGD, and Hayden, you would also review an album from brun027 and recommend one.
