Putting it in the queue
I'm about halfway through the new James Blake right now, and I'm really not sure if I'm feeling it... it's a little different than his previous material, but the instrumentals are kinda bland.
EDIT: Well, at least it has a new 3k verse. |
I think you'll find it's pronounced '3 Stacks'. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

Thank you all so much for listening and the kind words!
For those interested, here's some influences I know of and can hear: Robyn's "Dancing On My Own;" Beat Happening; Talking Heads, particularly Tina Weymouth; Greek traditional songs and Xylouris White; south, central, and west Texas and the Cyclades; live free improv shows; New Order, particularly Bernard Sumner; LCD Soundsystem; Fela Kuti/awesome tapes from Africa; X; dogs; an interest in childlike wonder, most thanks to her niece; an interest in toy instruments and "tacky" preprogrammed beats

Really digging Lizzo's Juice. Great early track on the year. It would've easily landing in my top 10 songs of 2018. Hope she drops an LP sometime soon... figure she has something cooked up. Boys was also a banger.
