No I was thinking of Tupelo Honey Pie. It sounds delicious.

I can't figure out that Duran Duran one.

Oh right. That rolls off the tongue a lot better than Tupelo Honey Don't. I thought the Beatles song was called Wild Honey Pie. Tupelo Wild Honey Pie. That sounds even better.

The Beatles -> Duran Duran one was Across the Universe Alone. Sounds kinda depressing.

Here's an easy one: Beastie Boys -> Foo Fighters

The White Album has a "Honey Pie" and a "Wild Honey Pie." The former is a cute little diddy by McCartney, one of the catchiest songs on the album, while the latter is more on the silly psychedelic side and at less than a minute is pretty much an interlude.

Just thought I'd point that out. Don't have an answer to yours. Both acts are among those who there's nothing wrong with them, I just never was the biggest fan. But I love this idea, mainly because I love wheel of fortune

Okay, it just randomly came to me. Since you said it was easy I kept myself thinking about it. "Brass Monkey Wrench."

How bout this one:

PJ Harvey ---> Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

Two related artists too, and as a hint, the answer (though there are probably many answers) is something he might tell her that he got someone else to do, had he not made The Boatman's Call. That was kinda confusing so yeah.

I can't figure this one out. But here's two more PJ Harvey ones I thought of while trying to figure that one out.

Electric Light Orchestra -> PJ Harvey

B.B. King -> PJ Harvey

One more PJ:

Linda Ronstadt -> PJ Harvey

(I'm stumped on the BB/Harvey connection)

This one is actually quite easy if you're familiar enough with both artists. Here's another couple hints.

The connecting word was the most common word amongst titles on Rolling Stone's 500 greatest songs list.
One of the two songs in question is the title track.

And to elaborate on my previous hint (which pretty much gives it away if you know the history between the two artists), the complete answer goes like this:

PJ: "Nick, why haven't I seen you in so long?"
Nick: "I just couldn't bring myself to face you PJ. Four years ago I told the postman [insert connected titles] and you never replied."

I'll come back in like 6 hours with the answer if nobody gets it.
