2. I’ll give you another chart if you want one. I’ll make one people might like to discuss this time. Promise.

That would be cool. How about this for a repeat rule? Anyone can submit a second chart for Get To Know A Top 10, but any charts from those who have not already gone will leap past second charts to the front of the queue as they are submitted for consideration.

You can totally replace mine with Jimmy's. His charts I'm sure would be way more interesting for people in this forum to talk about than mine. And I've felt guilty for not participating much with this due to 3 other revolving projects I have right now (revisiting my 2011 iTunes collection... hahaha, and then my music history project and canon stuffs).

Kind of you to say Seth, but frankly I’d struggle to find the time to comment on my own picks and in retrospect that’s likely why my folk selections didn’t get a lot of attention. I’ll probably pass and hide any recs in my diary for the time being (or perhaps spin ‘em in Plug.dj)

Fair enough. I did love your folk list/convo though and dug what you wrote about.

And maybe I can put some other things of mine on hold to catch up on this game if preferred. I mean this is a few months from now I wager it'd even come to fruition.

Also pretty cool this has been running for 8 months now!

Seth, do you want to keep your chart on the list or not? Getting some mixed messages.

I'll keep it on there if you don't get a submission from Jimmy. If he submits one to you, feel free to bump his to my spot and he can go before me. I'll keep it on there to keep the list from dying. I'm nearly done with a phase of all my projects, so once one of them finishes, I can easily swap to this project.

Users who have never been featured are going to be ahead of second entries in the queue regardless, for the sake of consistency. I will bump you to the back of the new users queue though, seeing as you're occupied with other stuff at the moment. The list is in no risk of dying now.

Also, it's interesting to see how dramatically saltysurprise's chart has changed since the start of Get To Know A Top 10. In my opinion, it's great and has improved a lot. However, I haven't voted for it, because I already know all ten albums, and I imagine some others are in the same boat.

That's the fear I have for my list and a reason I'm having it bumped... it's just not the jam people want for this game. Most want something new. I could offer a classical list, but I think that'd also not what people are looking for. Most want the hot new shit or old deep digs and experiencing a "canon" classic again as if it's the first time or having an open discussion why those albums are so highly regarded seems to be less interesting for most peeps. Could be wrong... dunno.
