I'd nominate Roc Marciano's Behold a Dark Horse. Or maybe Proc Fiskal's Insula. Need to spend some more time with each before I decide. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

now in contention...
In A Poem Unlimited by U.S. Girls
Excellent Art Pop that should appeal to fans of St. Vincent, Julia Holter, and our 2018 Singles winner Jenny Hval.

I do urge everyone who hasn't already to check out Proc Fiskal's Insula. Nominally an instrumental grime album, it is big heart and big melody electronic music at its finest, taking elements from the most exciting, (primarily) black, electronic dance genres of the last few decades (grime first and foremost, but also jungle, UK garage, and footwork), adding in the hazy, sun-tinged, Insta-filter nostalgia of Four Tet and Boards of Canada, as well as the decidedly post-dial-up stylings of chiptune and vaporwave, not to mention vocal snippets that give the album a very deliberately human feel, and it is absolutely brilliant, with all the energy of a pirate radio set and all the deliberate virtuosity of mid-'90s Warp. Get on it. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

Just listened to this again. Very underrated and near-flawless house EP. Easily their best work imo _________________ Add me on RYM

Damn. Was going to nominate that. But I agree it is a very underrated EP for 2018. And it slaps. The only thing I would say is that if this is the lead up to there third album, they got a hit on their hands.

Well then I would have to think about it. Since there is a lot of dope stuff from 2018.
