Gary, a good solution is to re-surface your O.K. Computer disc with a DELTA 31-695 disc sander. I recommend 120 grit. That should really help with the noise problem. Wink

In the early 1980s I bought This Charming Man, vinyl 12 inch New York mix by the Smiths which is now a collectors item for 99 pence. I didn't remove the sticker I'm glad I didn't...It's a memory thing, but it's different with CDs. They are harder to get off and have no sentimental value as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not going scan this entire thread to see if my answer's been posted, but here's how I do it: Just unhinge the bottom-left corner of the CD case, lift the front off, and use it to peel the sticker off the back. Then simply peel the sticker off of the front with your hands. Finally, re-attach the front of the case to the back. Works every time for me, and I never have any gunk left over on the case.

Vinyls are no different from CD's in sentimental value. You get something to play music and usually plastic and paper. Both maudlin Rolling Eyes
