Yeah my prediction is gonna look bad at the end of the year lol. Even before Curry went down, they didn't look good. Might just tank this year, hope for a solid pick next year, and try again with healthy Klay.
Other than GSW, things have been.. almost as expected, with Kings as the biggest disappointment so far. Haven't seen any of their games to be able to see what's up, coaching change really screwed them up so much? We'll see. Should still remain in playoff hunt I think. Watched a lot of Mavs and am quietly encouraged by what I saw (they could easily be 5-0 right now, and that's with Porzingis not anywhere near his best), and happy that Suns actually do look like a proper NBA team (even with Ayton suspended). Should make for a pretty tough playoff battle.

Should be a fun battle for the playoffs in the west, and even better actual playoffs. Even some round 1 matchups should be great.
Who gets 8th seed in the west? I don't think Grizzlies can stay there, but I'm happy to see their rebuild is going so well. Spurs have been better lately, Blazers should also get better if Nurkić plays for a significant stretch before the end. I feel like a lot of those teams - Blazers, Kings, Suns, Pelicans - just couldn't stay healthy so far, and it hurt them. So it's mostly gonna be about what team will manages to play their best guys the most.

I trust the Blazers then the Spurs the most but I wouldnt be shocked for Zion to be just enough to elevate the Pelicans into 7/8. He is just such an transcendant athlete and uber efficient that I think his impact can be huge, providing he stays injury free. OKC has been a pleasant surprise and I wonder if they can hold off the other more complete teams behind them. But cool to see CP3s underrated leadership taking hold on that young, unselfish team. _________________ Best Classical

I'm quite pleased at how well the Raptors have weathered multiple injuries (Lowry & Ibaka, then Siakam, Powell, Gasol & Van Vleet) _________________ Finnegan was super bad-ass.

Holy shit...
Kobe Bryant might've been my favorite basketball player of all time, along with MJ.
He made some mistakes but he also grew and changed before our very eyes. I've long admired his will and determination and his ability to overcome those mistakes and remake himself -- especially in the latter half of his career and life after the NBA. His work ethic, passion for life and his drive is something anyone can look up to.

I'm not even that big of a basketball fan, but Kobe is a generational icon. It's hard not to be upset right now. _________________ ...and for dessert!

Nobody competed like Kobe... except MJ.
What makes this even more tragic is that his daughter died as well. Did you ever see him talk about her? Talk about father's pride. He really pushed respecting her as a female baller.

Really messes with me that two other thirteen-year-old girls died as well. It was sad enough that Kobe and a few other adults died, but that on top of it? I don't know.
