New Caribou's a little scattered. Kinda feels like two EPs smushed together. Wish he picked a direction with it, but apart from some slightly weak vocals here and there, it's still got a solid handful of decent tracks. Can't say it stacks up to his previous work though.

And it's been a neat couple of days for 2020. McCraven's Scott-Heron reimagining is fantastic. Much better than what Jamie XX did (which I still enjoyed). The previously mentioned Tricot album is a blast. AAL's release is pretty solid. Navy Blue dropped a decent project (that... needed more rapping, but yeah). Denzel Curry's new project is enviously too short but packed solid. It's been good.

For fans of early Rosalia:

Sanación by María José Llergo

Also, a can't miss psych-rock record:

Hamza by Lonker See

Could see it going over well with a lot of BEA. Wouldn't be surprised it if it sticks in my top 100 for the year by the end of it.

Oooh new Lonker See. Didn't know that dropped, I'll have to check that out for sure.

The Big Kahuna OG didn't interest me as much as I would have liked it too. It's decent but I haven't been coming back to it considering all the other great hip-hop that dropped recently.

Okay Decay by Canshaker Pi

Not so Lo-Fi Indie Rock, but really good. Somewhere between Pavement and Spoon.

The Slow Rush by Tame Impala

This is not going to be one of my top albums of the year, but I'd be lying if I said it's not going to be one of my most listened.

Nearly two months into the new decade I finally listened to my first 2020 album. It was Poppy lol.

Anyways what are some good atmospheric electronic-based, or ambient or house or black metal albums worth a spin that have been released so far?

Pretty good folksy black metal from China. Atmospheric at parts too.

New Yves Tumor in early March.

Purity Ring, Angel-Ho, The Weeknd, Knxwledge, Adele, Foo Fighters, Waxahatchee, Four Tet, and "apparently" Jay Electronica albums are on the way too.

Sole Food by Deniro Farrar

Yet another great release from Deniro Farrar that is yet again going unnoticed. Check it out if you're into conscious hip-hop or southern hip-hop.
