My second favourite Doors album after their debut.

Controversial opinion - this is their best album! While the debut is obviously great, it contains a bit too much of the basic blues rock songs which I felt were never their forte. I just love the overall psychedelic mysterious atmosphere of this record much more.

Same. This is in my top ten, actually. I rank this with the likes of Sgt. Pepper's and Pet Sounds as being the most important albums of all time.

^^It's an unorthodox opinion, which I respectfully disagree. My view is in line with Stover75's.

One of my dad's favorite records. I like it well enough, too.

The two albums are close imo. And both excellent (they're both in my top 50, but self-titled has the edge).

I agree, tho I think s/t has the greatest heights with The End, Light my fire, Crystal ship and Break on through.
But I play Strange Days a LOT more. My fav Doors album.

Agreed, the best songs on the s/t are definitely better, but this works better as an album and has some sweet songs as well. When The Music's Over > The End for me though.
