Should have asked this before but when you and Scaruffi use "metaphysical" do you mean it pretty much as "transcendental"?

Metaphysical: derived from the Greek meta ta physika ("after the things of nature"); referring to an idea, doctrine, or posited reality outside of human sense perception.
Transcendental, or adjective, transcendent: surpassing, or superior; being beyond ordinary or common experience, thought, or belief; supernatural; abstract or metaphysical; idealistic, lofty, or extravagant.
So yeah, probably a reliable assumption, though there could be some nuances to that in some cases depending on context (though I don't know any offhand where the above isn't what he is/was referring to).
I think mainly applicable from the above is: ...reality outside of human sense perception / being beyond ordinary or common experience, thought, or belief; supernatural; abstract... _________________ Best Classical

I always thought metaphysical was a state of being whereby the rationalists and empiricists debated what was real, and Kant kinda brought them together.
Empiricists were thinking it was by physical "evidence" - touch, etc., and rationalists disproved that by saying well brown is just orange in different lighting, so you can't just trust what your eyes see. Kant was like yo, it's both.
Then the aesthetics of nature by Kant and basically multiple writers/philosophers after him were discussed for like a century - displacing rationalism as the "proper" aesthetic with an aesthetic of nature... anyway it doesn't matter because nobody cares.
I wonder if a priori and a posteriori is what is actually meant by experience outside of human sense perception

Have you listened to A Picture of Nectar a lot? I don't feel like I really see the "depth" of it. Scaruffi rates it really high but I'm not sure why.
