I cannot really remember how it sounds, except I loved it. I will listen soon.
Also, is this the biggest gap between debut and sophomore in album history? No, but it's up there. (But wow, the most acclaimed Shoegaze bands (MBV, Ride, Slowdive) all have a gap of 2 decades for an album.) _________________ My Top 100 :

I mean, it's somewhat thankless to follow up Since I Left You, a record that still feels revolutionary to this day. Wildflower was practically destined to pale in comparison to its predecessor, especially with nearly two decades of adoration to grow for that debut. And though it may not live up to those lofty expectations, Wildflower is still a fantastic record, and one that I come back to with more frequency than I would have guessed.

IMO they got a little weirder than their first album, and then last year's sort of brought it back to their original sound but a little more polished.
Not too divergent in sound between the 3 albums though, and they're all really solid. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!
