The fact that this album is as good as it is only becomes more daunting with time. But it's a genuine classic, and if it was the only good thing B&S ever did, it'd still be a classic.
Track picks
1. The State I Am In
2. Expectations
3. She's Losing It
7. We Rule The School _________________ Inversion Verses

This is a fantastic album. B&S hit it out of the park with If You're Feeling Sinister, but this one is still absolute gold. It's something incredible that this album (and Sinister) were recorded and mixed in about a week each. Hard to deny "The State I Am In" as one of their all-time best tracks. My other track picks are "My Wandering Days Are Over" and "I Don't Love Anyone" and really I guess all of them. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!

Yeah, B and S blew my mind as a teenager. I remember the exact moment I first heard "The state I am in" -the moment the band kicks in, unbelievable. Tigermilk is literally the stuff of legend. I didn't hear it till 1999 (like most) as this is when the cd came out and before that the vinyl copies were extremely rare.
No matter what I may say at other times, B and S will most likely remain the band closest to my heart. Those teenage years mean so much for shaping music tastes and I guess never really leave you completely. Plus, I remain a fan till this point. One of the few bands where I own every album (and more). I saw them live for the second and third times a few years ago-it was great!

I first listened to B&S when I was around 20-22, and I remember thinking wow, why wasn't I listening to them as a teenager
They're incredible live as well! I've only seen them once but it's in my top 5 live shows ever.
I realize now actually that Tigermilk was one of the first records I bought, my local record store owner came to recognize what music I loved largely from that first purchase, and would always recommend me B&S after that (regardless of if he was recommending the same album I purchased a week prior). _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!
