One of his prettiest, but also one of his least accessible. I'll cop to finding it very difficult to get into, especially in comparison to his other recent work (Skeleton Tree, Push the Sky Away etc). And I love Nick's work so much, it's difficult to find an album of his that I can't connect to fairly easily outside of perhaps a few of his very early albums (both Bad Seeds and Birthday Party). With this one, I probably need to dig into the lyrics a bit more to get there...

How in the world do u follow up Skeleton Tree? Well, mr. Cave made a left turn in stylistical sphere with Ghosteen, but it's still a very good album. I haven't heard it since it came out, maybe I should.

I feel the same way. I can get into Push the Sky Away, but still trying to work out Skeleton Tree and Ghosteen. Interestingly, Carnage clicks for me way more than the others.
