Their 5th release & perhaps not quite as strong as the previous releases it still is amazing. Stand-out tracks are Sabbath Bloody Sabbath & Killing Yourself to Live. Rick Wakeman on keyboards was a nice addition especially on the track Sabbra Cadabra but Who Are You not so good. A great album overall.

A lot of the material on this album ranks among my favorite Sabbath work, although the record loses steam towards the end. A National Acrobat is possibly my favorite Black Sabbath song. Masterful heavy lyrics. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.

My favorite Ozzy-era Sabbath.
Wickedly heavy, but melodic too.
I stick with it right through 'til the end: Looking for Today and especially the closing Spiral Architect are excellent.

With Rick Wakeman in the fold it has a bit of a proggy vibe, which I don't mind, it's the band getting out of their comfort zone and mostly succeeding, the nice thing about metal in the 70s is that the formula had not been set in stone, so this feels refreshing . There's lots of deep cuts that you can play over and over killing yourself, acrobat and my favorite sabbra cadabra.
My go to sabbath albums are Reality and Vol 4 but this is is still a close one.
