Writing this wearing a longsleeve shirt, with the phenomenal coverart.
ITAOTS has, over the span of a year, saved and changed my life, that only emotions can explain. When I listen to it in March, it'll probably be placed higher." - my comment when it was aotd in 2018. And yep, it rose to the top 5 and has stayed there. This could be my favorite album ever, at least one of them.
Plus this has got to be the first time where album of the day and the #1 album on chart of the day are the same.

Just pure, incredibly, gorgeous, unexplainable magic.
Really, everything about this has been more or less said, and still it's so hard to talked about what makes this album so special, but the best explaination I can find is that this is truly a magical piece of work unlike any other I've ever experienced.

I probably shouldn't post this, but I can't stand this record and never understood its appeal on any level. That said, most people would probably say the same things about roughly 90% of the albums I do like, so it doesn't bother me that so many disagree with me about this one.

This is hilarious haha
I disagree about the "garbage" part for all 3 of those albums shown, but entry-level? Sure, definitely. Doesn't mean they're bad though. But I will say compared to Merriweather Post Pavilion and Hospice, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea seems to decline very little on continuing listens. Merriweather has certainly fallen out of favor with me, and I still enjoy Hospice but not much else by The Antlers.
I forget where Neutral Milk Hotel stands in my charts right now, but I think I slightly prefer On Avery Island. Both albums are just such a joy to listen to, despite some of their subject matter.
