It's basically Lou's break out solo album. Great classic. Probably his best, followed by Berlin and the live album, Rock n Roll Animal. He had many good albums though. Great career. _________________ Elder of the gentle race

This is such a great album. I've never dug deep into Lou Reed's solo discography, but out of the 3 albums I have heard, this is the only one that comes close to his VU material. Some amazing songs here.
I absolutely love the last chorus of Satellite Of Love with David Bowie's backing vocals kicking in. Such a beautiful moment. _________________ All time

I was never a big fan of "Walk on the Wild Side" so I wrote off this album and Lou Reed entirely for a while. That is until I picked up Street Hassle on a whim and realized how much I like Reed and how much creativity he still retained from his VU days. This album has so much more to offer than "Walk on the Wild Side", agreed about "Satellite of Love"'s chorus, "Perfect Day" is another great anthem, and "Vicious" is a killer opener. _________________ 51 Washington, D.C. albums!

Right! What’s next? Are we gonna find out they don’t care for ‘Can I Kick It?’ by A Tribe Called Quest? _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.
