Probably Lennon's best solo record and among the strongest post-Beatles records by any member. Lennon humanizes himself with this record and its among the most emotionally raw ever. Its not an album that is particularly enjoyable to listen to, but its very powerful.

incredible album.
john really displays his vocals and songwriting with "mother".
what i really like about this album is yoko is no where to be found.
this album is not for everyone, although some state that its john's best work.
im really not sure about that, but i can tell you, i enjoy it immensely after every spin.
