The Semis saw an upset from the Dirty Three over Cut Copy, who were seen as the finalists from the beginning. However favourites the Avalanches continue to strive ahead but now meet some interesting competition.

1st PRELIMINARY FINAL [LEFT SIDE]

2nd PRELIMINARY FINAL [RIGHT SIDE]

THE AVALANCHES - Since I Left You (2000) vs. NICK CAVE & THE BAD SEEDS - The Good Son (1990)

The Grand Final almost featured two albums from members of the Bad Seeds but the Avalanches [favourites throughout] got there.

Thanks to all who voted and, although it was sort of predicted at the beginning, I hope people ahve discovered Australian music or at least dabbled a little in listening to it.
