That whole awards show felt really dull and flat - Crystal had a couple of good one liners but...eh.
And no can ever say the Academy aren't boring and predictable with their choices.

ah - that is true. Ilove everything with Zach Galifianssjklilosjdhidukslos does. And I probably forgot it by the end but the opening short movie was pretty funny too.

If you believe awards make things great  - not the work that the award is received for. It was a very strong lineup for Best Actress this year, but Meryl's performance was by far the weakest.

A B-Grade porn film names "The Iron Lady" starring Meryl Streep? I actually think I would watch that...

I agree. Meryl Streep is a fantastic actress. I haven't yet seen the one she won for though, so those who claim it wasn't worthy of the win may very well be right.
Also...as for the show...I thought the Cirque de Soleil thing was fun. A bit short and sort of out of place, but damn they are one talented bunch of people.
