Have been completely looking forward to this. I'm going to Amoeba and am looking forward to getting the Nirvana Pennyroyal Tea single, the Joy Division rerelease, †††'s eps, new Mazzy Star ep and the Paramore Ain't It Fun single. I should clarify I'm not a fan of that last song, it just holds sentimental value because I worked on the set for the music video before they canned it and made another one. It was probably one of the best experiences I've had on an mv set so I was sad to see it have the plug pulled.

I'm probably heading over to Kops or Play Da Record that day. Also hoping to get a copy of An Ideal For Living. Smile

Overall though, the list falls short to the past 3 years Sad There's a lot of mediocre-average releases being put out.

Hoping to get some of these though:

Fear of Men - Loom
Danny Brown - Hot Soup
The Field - From Here We Go Sublime
Life Without Buildings - Any Other City
Notorious B.I.G. - Life After Death
Phosphorescent - Song for Zulu 12"
Along with the Joy Division EP

And depending on the prices, maybe one of the MGMT reissues, the In Utero tribute, and the Space Project. If there's any of the Red Temple Spirits's albums left, I might pick one of those up too, but there's only a few.

I want:

Danny Brown - Hot Soup
Alexander Robotnick - Vintage Robotnick
Oneohtrix Point Never - Commissions I
Sun Ra - Outer Spaceware
The UN - UN or U Out
Various Artists - Pop Yeh Yeh: Psychedelic Rock from Singapore and Malaysia 1964-1970, vol. 1

I'll get:

Danny Brown - Hot Soup
(if I'm lucky)

It can be tough here to even get your hands on the stuff you want even if you have the money. I missed RSD last year, but in the previous 2 years I had a really hard time finding the releases I was most interested in. So many people gobbling up the best stuff to sell on ebay.

A few solid bands I know are playing a free show at our new Rough Trade store, so I plan on hanging out there for a bit. And if I can get something good, that'll just be a bonus

Wait, a NorCal Amoeba? Damn, you leave pretty close to me, I'm in the East Bay.

Although I'm in Chicago for the week, so I'll be spending RSD here this year.

I wish. NorCal Amoeba is awesome. No I live in Los Angeles. There's another one here just off Vine.

You should come visit someday! Though Rasputin's is superior IMO, though they both have their advantages and disadvantages, for sure

I'm definitely going after Sun Ra's Outer Spaceways Incorporated and the Understanding and Appreciating Classical Music with Ron Jeremy 7". Thinking of picking up Type O Negative's debut and that psych comp. from Singapore and Malaysia. Might also pick up the Nirvana 7" or The Julie Ruin 7" for a gift.
