Great rock opera. Pink Floyd have better albums, but this is still a monumental accomplishment.

Not totally my cup o tea. But by no means do I hate it and everything it represents or
Anything like that. It's just kind of hit and (mostly) miss and uneven and just not that amazing. And it's a big step down from the Excwllent DSOTM, the absolutely stunning masterpiece WYWH, and the beautiful Animals.

Great for those long car rides when you have earplugs and you really don't like the people you're riding with.

I saw this album performed live by Roger Waters last year. That was a great show. I still like this album enough, it made me feel accomplished that I completed an album of that length and of the pretense.

Great album, but it's not amongst my favourite Pink Floyd records. It's their last really great album in their cataogue imo.

When I think of The Wall it often comes to my mind how popular and acknowledged album it is in my country, possibly the album of the century for many people. The impact of it has political reasons: it's because of the symbol of communism and what happenned in 1990. So when I first listened to it my expectations were very high. Comparing to many other albums by them, I was a bit disappointed with it musically. Then later I listened to it more, and got into it.

The Wall is overlong and Pink Floyd at their most preachy and mostly it just doesn't really work at all. There's quite a few songs I like on this record, but overall it's from an era of Pink Floyd I tend to think is overtly pompous and self-absorbed.

My second favorite Floyd album after DSOTM. I was obsessed with this album when it was first released. I even forced my brother and sister to perform a puppet show for my parents using The Wall as the soundtrack.

Comfortably Numb has the best David Gilmour guitar solo ever!
