Bon Iver to me sums up everything about a growing up situation. His first album serves as a reminder of a lost high school "love" that fits universally into a fairly large number of situations, Blood Bank is some kind of transition, and finally it all comes to Bon Iver, Bon Iver, an album almost about growing out of FEFA. To me, his albums as Bon Iver are truly something to behold. Additionally, his solo albums are alright, and I think one of his shining moments, oft forgotten, was a jazz album he put out, backed by his old high school jazz band (which isn't on youtubed for some reason but check spotify, there's a full album):
Anyways, point is, he's just wonderful. He embodies, to me, the experience in life of growing up that we all have. Maybe a bit in a melodramatic way, and yet. _________________
