Good god. Clash of the titans. Fahey easily gets my vote, but I don't mind seeing him lose to Coltrane.

Considering that Coltrane wins easily for me, and Fahey has an album on my chart, shows how fucking incredible he is. Blue Train and My Favourite Things are utter masterpieces, and he also has several other great albums to back those up. What a musician.

I really like Fahey. Hell, there's even one album of his I'm the only one to have charted somewhere (check it out, it's called Womblife, it's great).

However this is an easy win for one of the greatest geniuses to have graced my ears. A love supreme.

Yeah for me I have never yet had my "moment" with Fahey's music. I have had my respect for him, but no real wow moments.

Now, Coltrane is probably right now easily in my top 5-10 favorite musicians and most listened to as well. I mean I LOVE "A Love Supreme", "Giant Steps", and "My Favorite Things". I really like "Ascension". I have great respect for "Blue Train" and also he is just such a genius. I know we ain't thinking with these recordings for this tournament but his work with Monk and Miles is also downright sublime.

Coltrane easily. And he's in my top 3 artists left in this tournament.
