The band didn't play an encore, which is only the second time I've ever been to a show where the headliner did that. (The other was Laura Marling, who doesn't play encores on general principle.) I attribute this to a group of people who stood next to the stage and talked throughout the entire show. These same people then tried getting an "Encore!" chant going, but to no avail. Maybe, just maybe, if you'd wanted an encore, you should have paid some attention to the band during the show.

Last few times I've been to a show and people are spoiling it by talking, they normally get told pretty emphatically to shut up. I remember one show this young guy was so drunk that the whole crowd was on at him and the band (this will destroy you) were very pissed off.

The Øya festival in Oslo, Norway. Saw Lana Del Rey, Spiritualised, Danny Brown and Young Thug there, all at the same night. Migos were also also playing, but I didn't get to watch that. Great night nevertheless.

I went to the Laneway Festival, here in Brisbane, this January (it was actually on Australia Day: the 26th). Saw Whitney, Julia Jacklin, White Lung, Tash Sultana, NAO, King Gizzard & The Lizzard Wizard, TYCHO, Clams Casino, Car Seat Headrest & Tame Impala all on the same day. Like DJTommy, Young Thug was supposed to be there and so was The Julie Ruin but they never showed. Fantastic day though, even if I went alone. Oh and I got to meet Will Toledo.

The next two I will be going to is City Calm Down in September and Ariel Pink in November.

In March last year I saw Built To Spill in this seriously compact bar venue and this one guy not only couldn't stop yelling, he was knocking everyone around. Doug (the lead singer) told him multiple times to stop and he'd always reply in a drunk slur "play something from 'Perfect...'!". But to be fair, we all wanted that because they only played "I Would Hurt a Fly" Laughing . The band came on for an encore where they played another one from Keep It Like A Secret and did two covers. The last cover they did was "How Soon Is Now" and during it he bowled these two girls over right in front of me into the metal part of the stage. One of them had to go to hospital. So I know what you're talking about.

D.R.A.M. YG and Kendrick Lamar @ Sprint Center KCMO

D.R.A.M. was very fun and enjoyable. I have a new appreciation for his music; he's just a really happy and jovial fellow. By the way, somebody should change his country to the United States. I understand he was born in Germany, but he's not a German artist.

YG came out and killed his set; 45 minutes of fire. I really enjoyed "Still Brazy", and he played a couple of my favorites from that album. He also covered Get Low by Lil Jon which was completely unexpected.

Kendrick Lamar is the third greatest rap artist I've seen live behind Death Grips and Run The Jewels. The reason
being is because he used a backing track behind his vocals during the whole show. I understand why some rap
artists do this, but there were a few songs where he only actually said about half the words. I did not expect that
from someone of his caliber. However, he had the crowd going nuts the entire time. His stage presence was exhilarating; his confidence was undeniable. He's surely at the height of his powers right now. I got to stand to the back right of the stage and had an amazing profile view of Kendrick from about 15-20 feet away. The concert featured some live martial arts performance and short films to go along with his "Kung Fu Kenny" character from DAMN. These were well made and choreographed and the stage show was excellent. There was a second stage that rose from the crowd for a few songs that was pretty cool as well. It was at least 20 feet high or more. He also shouted out Tech N9ne at the end of the show, and told how Tech was integral to his discovery by Dre which was cool.

The setlist isn't posted yet for KC, but I think this one is similar.

It's very selfish being like that. If they can't act better after being told by the crowd then the venue needs to chuck them out. Spoils it for everyone. Especially if it causes people to make a hospital visit!

Morrissey last year at the Bournemouth BIC. First time seeing Mozza. He was ace. On form. And funny.
The Smiths ones went down a storm. He opened with a rousing rendition of The Queen Is Dead.
Morrissey, the old queen, is certainly not dead yet.
