Went to InMusic Festival. Some of the bands that played were Queens of the Stone Age (good), Interpol (pretty bad), The Kills (surprisingly nice), Portugal. The Man (also surprisingly good), David Byrne (fantastic show)... But the two bands that stood out were:
Alice in Chains
Incredible performance, one band like that should be at every more indie orientated festival as a counterweight. Energetic, raw, emotional, anthemic and superb metal. Ended with Would/Rooster, I can't think of the better two songs to end a concert.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
One of the best, if not the best live performance I've ever seen. Apart from typical Nick Cave moments; when he forgot the lyrics to Stagger Lee, when he invited a young girl to dance and sing with him and the classic clapping moment in The Weeping Song, this concert was so much more. I don't think they left a single person indifferent with both his showmanship, craziness and the sheer musical talent the band has. Noise, noise and more noise by Warren Ellis along with many beautiful moments during Skeleton Tree tracks. I only wish it wasn't the festival with the limit of an hour and half for a performance. _________________ Finally updated the overall chart

That's a really good festival line up! Nick Cave is always brilliant. A true perfomer who always puts on a show.

Lucky bastards.
I've seen Radiohead once. Arcade Fire came to Utah and I passed up the opportunity because in 2006 I thought they were overrated... hahahaha. At the time I had only spun Funeral a couple times and it hadn't clicked with me yet (I was out of the country when it was released)... anyway. Would dig seeing them now.

I went to see Dave Matthews Band @ PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ. In all honesty, Matthews was the weakest aspect of the performance (still good, don't get me wrong), but he knows how to surround himself with talented musicians. Especially drummer Carter Beauford.

I saw country singer Trace Adkins last night at the Grainger County Tomato Festivial and he was awesome just like all of the other times that I have been able to catch him!
God bless you and Trace always!!!
Holly (a day one fan of him)
P.S. Out of every act that I have been able to see, Trace is who I have seen the most. _________________ Me & my favorite singer James Otto
Check him out here when you can!
