I went to see King Crimson tonight at Bournemouth Pavilion. They were awesome. An amazing assault on the senses and very smooth with the slower numbers too. All the musicians were top drawer stuff. They could really play. And the singer, Jakko, has an amazing voice.

And they had 3 drummers. It rocked the place. They did all the ones I like. Although they didn't cover David Bowie's Heroes, which they often do as an encore, I've found out. But they did a cracking, heavy and long version of 21st Century Schizoid Man for an encore so that's okay. I came away buzzing, and I'm not just talking about my ears. If you get a chance go see 'em. Worth every penny.

I saw them a couple of years ago and I guess with a very similar setlist as yours and I back your comment.

I went to see Deafheaven with DIIV and Chastity recently. Deafheaven's performance was amazing, especially George Clarke and Kerry McCoy (frontman and guitarist that puts together their compositions). DIIV was good, really laid back dream pop. Chastity had some good songs, they're a newer band so I wasn't expecting fireworks.

I went to see the Australian Pink Floyd band in Bournemouth, England. They were pretty awesome as usual. They got the place rocking. As well as all the big numbers they did a few more obscure ones like Fat Old Sun. All the musicians were excellent. Overall it was a great night. However......

They were not as good as last year when they did the whole of the Dark Side Of The Moon and the first 5 tracks off The Wall as well as other good ones. But it's good how they mix it up every year. The light show was good as always and the film clips they show were well produced. When they are totally on form they are one of my favourite live acts ever. I'm not likely to see the real Pink Floyd anytime soon so seeing these guys once a year will have to do.

Saw boygenius (Lucy Dacus + Phoebe Bridgers + Julien Baker) a few nights ago. Dacus and Bridgers were phenomenal, as expected given that they released two of my favorite albums from the past two years. Baker was fine, though I've never been much of a fan. The real treat was them playing all six songs from their new EP at the end of the show. The songs sound even better live than on record, and it was great to hear the usually subdued Bridgers belting out the climax to Me and My Dog. Stay Down and Bite the Hand were also highlights.

Last concert I've been to was Os Mutantes. A lot of the magic is gone as there's only one original member left but it's still a pretty fun show.
Also got to see Virginia Rodrigues about a week ago, which was amazing. She is an absolutely brilliant performer, what a powerful voice!

I went and saw the Denver duo Tennis in their hometown on black Friday, it really was just a beautiful event, especially the venue, it was this Presbyterian church near the capitol, super gorgeous.
