Post a song and the next member will rate it from 0 to 10, then they will post their song, and the next member will rate it, post theirs, and so on.

I'll start:

Shouldn't this be in the Games forum?

Anyways, that Beachwood Sparks song was nice, not as dream poppy as I remember them. I'd probably put it at a 7.5/10

Mine is Haywire by Bedhead.

Beachwood Sparks - Desert Skies: 9/10

Why have I never heard these guys? Slacker country, sounds dope. Cue rabid downloading of everything they've done.

Bedhead - Haywire: 7/10

Not bad at all, got major Spacemen 3 vibes. I've seen the album floating around the forum quite a bit recently, should probably give it a chance soon. It's quite interesting to hear that shoegaze wall-of-sound thing done with literally no attempt to make it pretty. The default position seems to be to turn it into something dreamy and ethereal, but here they're content to keep it uglyish. Interesting.

My pick: Trim - Vending Machine

sorry. ended up sinking into the crack in my couch with all the lint and pocket change. Pretty wonderful slice of laconic mumbling, dream pop. 8.5/10 (Bedhead)

Dead Moon - Walking On My Grave. 7.5/10

It has a catchy enough riff, but some of the vocals can be a bit hard for me to stomach. But it's not horrible by any means.

Anyway my pick is:

Oh yeah, this should go in the Games forum. Is there any way to move it?

Anyway, 6/10 for Chinchilla. It's very pretty and the instrumentals are really impressive. I just don't like the singer's voice :/

Above & Beyond - You Got To Go (Acoustic Version): 6/10

A little meandering for me at the start, not to mention just a bit too clean. However, it picks up as it goes on, and I really like the horns towards the end, and I'm a sucker for that warm electric keyboard sound. Not sure I actually like the song itself, but I do like the sounds it incorporates in the latter half. A low 6/10.

Dead Moon - Walking On My Grave: 5/10

Ragged, punky garage rock by numbers. Not bad by any means, but just a bit too similar to too many other things.

Chinchilla - This Town Needs Guns: 4/10

I can't stand the vocals, and I'm not really sure the world needs a take on mathy post-hardcore that's quite this inoffensive.

I've already offered a couple so I'll leave it for now, but I'll be returning here to rate songs as they pop up. It's already convinced me to check out two bands further, so I could see this being a success.
