Coda or Presence .. both absolute poo. They both kind of ruin Led Zeppelin's image

Presence. Not even Achilles' Last Stand is good enough to float that turd of an album.

Yeah, it's without a doubt Coda or Presence, but that's beside the point.

What you guys need to know is that Led Zeppelin IV is definitely their most overrated album. Sure, it has a few decent songs, but it's NOTHING compared to the first two albums. Also, it's soft as heck.

Zep 4 is overrated, but so is Zep 1, and Zep 1 possibly moreso. 2, Physical Graffiti and Houses of the Holy are my favorites, personally.

III for the win. On I and II, the greatest riffs ever were interupted by five minutes of fucking around on every song; IV was great, but didn't have the same sound as III. III has the second best acoustic guitar sound behind only In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. III is the only album where Jimmy really flexed his acoustic ability, which I like more than his electric ability

I really dont understand how anyone can say IV is overrated, I just dont see it, the whole thing is genius.

However I do think now that Physical Graffiti should be considered their best, the whole thing is a little bit more genius than IV. III I'm really not a fan of but that album im aware is an acquired taste

This is not an easy question for me.After all,6 of my top 33 albums on my chart are by Led Zeppelin. It's definately not physical Graffiti because that was their best.Best lyrics and widest range of songs from acoustic & electric guitar & from hard rockers to softer songs like Down by the Seaside. In fairnes it can't be Coda because that album was just a contractual fulfilment it still owed Atlantic records.Besides, only 5 of it's songs are Page/Plant written. For me Presence is clearly the least substantial Zep album. But in it's defense I must say I feel Achilles is a great song & Nobody's Fault along with For Your Life are very good songs. There are a lot of bands that wish they could have even 3 good songs on an album.

I dont know .. they still need to take responsibility for the urine that was coda. contract or not, thats the business they got into. The garbage man cant complain about picking up the garbage if applied for the job. In saying that, zeppelins worst album is a mile better than most bands best. Most arent worthy of eating Zeppelins s**t!

I dont regard Coda as a proper LZ album,of their 8 studio albums, i feel that III is weak, although Immigrant Song and SIBLY would grace any LZ album, the rest is poo, especially the awful Gallows Pole.Prescence contains one of their best ever songs (Achilles,Jimmy's favourite i believe) .however,as III has 2 genuine classics and Prescence only one ,Prescence gets my vote as their worst.
