Ok. Shit's about to get real. First off, confession time. What I posted previously (The Coup’s Repo Man) wasn’t really my theme song. I was just trying to make my ULL diverse because..

a) I crave mad chart points
b) The acceptance of others is important to me
c) I don't want Skinny and eyezayzay to think I'm a total dweeb
d) idk. Seemed like a fun song & it had my user name in it.
e) All of The Above

The answer requires a secret decoder ring that I will disseminate later.

Here’s my real theme song. Listen to it, and you’ll see why as this ULL progresses…

But the fact of you being a total dweeb is why I accept you!

Silliness aside, I do quite enjoy Black Flag for whatever it’s worth. Looking forward for your ULL as it develops throughout the week.

Haha! Thanks, Gowi!

So I was jamming to Washed Out’s EP Life of Leisure today thinking about how aw3esome it was and how much it reminded me of M83 when this poptastical track comes on…

For years, I’ve been watching Portlandia thinking that was an M83 song!! I’ver even told people how great that “M83” song is. No wonder why people think this ep is better than their Sub Pop debut. That’s song’s serious dope.

My favorite Portlandia skit...

Well my work is done here, people! Laughing

Thanks for the compliment, pa! Yeah, Black Flag are one my all time faves!!! Damaged is their best. But, once you properly digest that, I also Highly Recommend checking out (in this order) ...

My War by Black Flag

Easily one of the most important albums on the American Underground music scene in the 80s. My War had a seismic impact on grunge, stoner rock, sludge metal, noise rock, etc.

The First Four Years by Black Flag

In My Head by Black Flag

Ok, I can't stop thinking about how awesome Carrie Brownstein's entire career has been. I love Sleater-Kinney with these two albums in particular being two of my all time faves...

Call The Doctor by Sleater-Kinney

Dig Me Out by Sleater-Kinney

Seriously, if Sp4cetiger was still playing matchmatcher, I swear that I’d probably fill out Carrie Brownstein for all three spots. She’s the crush that just keeps on giving. Actually, let’s pretend that Sp4tiger has magical powers and can actually distill my very own dream girl from a mere 3 celebrity/fantasy girl crushes…

1. Veronica Sawyer (from the movie Heathers, one of my favorite black comedies. It's a great send up of the John Hughes movies of the 80s and the obvious precursor to Mean Girls)

2. Greta Gerwig

3. Carrie Brownstein

my favorite 2 SK records! Sleater Kinney don't get quite enough recognition on BEA.

Black Flag rock, the only one I've heard is Damaged, but I enjoyed it, and I'm going to explore the other ones.
Never heard Washed Out, that song is pretty good, though it reminds me of a 1000 of other things.
Anyway, nice thread Repo, as I expected.. Keep it going! Smile
