So there is a lot of shit going on in the world now. The Middle East turmoil and Israel/Palestine, Russia/Ukraine, whatever the fuck North Korea is going to do, etc. WWIII is becoming seemingly increasingly inevitable. How do you think that it will start? If you were president, how would you try to control or keep peace? Will Palestine bomb Isreal and the US will try to enter to stop? Will Russia or China or ISIS or whoever get involved? Will Australia enter to become the secret champions?

There has been "shit going on in the world" since the end of WW2, not sure why WWIII is any more inevitable now than it was during the Cold War.
If I was president of what exactly?
What will Palestine bomb Israel with exactly, and what why would Israel at this point need more US help to "stop them". What are ISIS interest in Israel/Palestine conflict?
Australia will just watch the world burn.

We've been in a constant World War III since the days of the Cold War. Warfare is just different now. It's not all completely about violence anymore, but also an economic battle.

This is just a scaremongering thread in my opinion. Like how every time bad things happen on the world stage some newspaper somewhere publishes a story along the lines of "Is this the beginning of World War III?". Most of the time it's not for the reason of putting across well thought opinions or creating discussion but instead to stir fear into the reader because x is happening. x was something different in 2013, 2012, 2011 etc.

best chance for world war 3? In about 5-10 years in the east china sea. its a powder keg already but this is what will change:
-china will have a strong green and blue water navy. enough to roll over all regional powers (remember none of them are nuclear)
- china will have a large amount of antiship ballistic missiles. Really hard to stop, they will be able to keep the united states navy far away from the conflict
-Both china and america have recently tested hypersonic missiles. at this point they might be drawing close to have them operational which could drastically destabilize the entire world. this might put china on the "clock" to do something
- the F35 will be out classed by fifth generation chinese fighters
-America will be economically weaker, I could also see neo isolationism catching on.
-China will be economically stronger and socially strong for war.
- there will be a pro independence Taiwanese govt in power in taiwan
- japan and S korea are becoming more aggressive and nationalistic
- Burma will have a developed chemical (and possibly biological) weapons. has wanted to go to blows with Thailand. The are a natural ally to both north korea and china
-N korea miiiiiight have a platform to deliver nukes.
-N korea will have modern antiship missile inventory (from the russians)
Reason eastern Europe? NATO (US) wont go to bat for anyone east of poland.
reason why it wont happen in the middle east? The regional powers are not strong enough to start a massive war
