I think there should be some way to see which users and which facebook friends like your chart on facebook. I know it's hard to keep track of non-registered users, but there should be some (likely complicated) way to keep track of both users and facebook friends that like your chart...

Yes, there probably is a way (e.g. tracking outbound clicks on the 'like' button), but not everybody's Facebook profile is public to the world and there would be a lot of privacy issues doing this. It sounds a great idea, but we have to be careful with this type of thing.

just thought of this: if you get a chance, check this out: http://developers.facebook.com/plugins/?footer=3
(yeah, that two colons!)

what I'm thinking of is an Activity box; it only logs what your friends on facebook have done, such as liking your chart. Pitchfork has one on its home page towards the bottom right of the page if you want to investigate. If possible, it would be nice if it was retroactive

It wouldn't log users likes, but at least you could tell if people you know personally enjoy the list
