Yeah the SNP ain't gonna enter in an out-and-out coalition. If Labour come out as the biggest party but still have a minority, we'll likely see a support deal between the two.

I completely forgot you were in Bristol now, hope you like it Very Happy .. I guess you mean Bristol West and yeah lib dems will still take it but greens might manage second. It is annoying how most people's vote in this country mean basically nothing I'd definitely much prefer proportional representation so voting actually means something to anyone not in a marginal seat.

I'm not certain I can really vote green tbh or if they are a bit too mental for me..

I'm thinking a labour minority is probably most likely now. I doubt snp will be able or want to enter coalition and I think libdems would be crazy to as well. I think DC will lose his party's leadership if he doesn't end up PM and same goes for Ed Miliband. Nick Clegg should lose it whatever happens.

Starting to get excited now Very Happy

Yeah Bristol is a fantastic city, I'm having a great time. It is starting to get exciting, I just wish the people I lived with shared my enthusiasm Razz

A PR system would be great, but I'd be surprised if it happens in my life time if we can't even get AV. Even if my vote is wasted by voting Green, I don't want to vote tactically, and at the very least I'll help with their growing percentage of the vote that may help in the campaigning of the next election.

Last I saw, they're projected 1 seat. The fact that they get international attention like they do is beyond me, and feels like them getting exactly what they want.

Anywho, as an American, your system seems awesome. I'd love to see third parties start to be actual threats for seats here. Still rather have proportional reps, but hey, y'all seem to have it down better than us. Best of luck in the elections.

ahahahahaha.

I do feel UKIP did get an unwarranted amount of attention (it's not so bad now) but tbf, they were the first party to win a nationwide election (last years European ones) in something like 80 years that weren't Labour or Conservative, which makes them pretty important.

Yah it's funny. Any slightly right wing party rising in power automatically becomes the world media punching bag, like during the Greek elections golden dawn got more attention then syriza, that was funny as fuck. And like you said it only to their advantage Laughing

If they lose both their tory defector mps and just get Farage that would be a net loss for the election, which would be pretty funny

If labour or cons need more than one party for a majority just imagine how difficult it would be to get anything passed.. at least snp and libdems aren't polar opposites but still

Woooooooo boy there are some cooky characters in British politics
http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/41...harles-c-w

It's really concerning that Galloway is talking as if his riding is going to be treated like his private property.
Looks like there are enough Muslims in his riding To give him a chance at election though

George Galloway is amazing! Like I disagree with 90% of what he says but it wouldn't be the same without him. I think he's favourite to win though he targeted his seat pretty well
