So someone help me understand: I get that Labour's lagging behind, but due to all the new SNP seats and the even bigger fall apart that is the Lib-Dems, does it even matter? Or will SNP's gains make up for Labour's losses? Can't find any decently reliable projections, though that's probably me doing a bad job of looking more than anything.

Conservatives are set to gain a majority of seats.

Yes, really really fuck this; it'll be fucking Tory and Lib Dem coalition again, and this time barely scraping through. The SNP have really messed up Labour in Scotland.

What a fucking let down. There was so much promise for this to be an exciting election, but it's just as stale as it's ever been. Another five years of tory class mates back patting.

And I'm by no means a UKIP supporter, but any system that has 9-10% of the population voting for a party, only to be represented by 0.15% of Westminster is screwed up. For a country that claims to be a democracy we do a terrible job of it.

Also people on my feed are getting way too excited by Nigel Farage losing a seat; a similar pantomime villain will enter stage right in his shoes in no time.

Well, both the constituencies I live in remain Labour, which is good, although that was to be expected. Yeah, and I agree with Puncture- both Green and UKIP getting only one seat each is really not fair.

Don't think ANYONE predicted this. Everyone thought Labour and Tories would end up at around 260-280, with the SNP getting around 40-50 and the Lib Dems keeping around 20 something. Instead we get a Tory majority, a clean SNP sweep and the total collapse of the Lib Dems.

South west used to be lib dem stronghold and they didn't get a single seat in the region it's so blue now Sad

At least leader can change now. I really rate Tim Farron hope he gets it

I think if we'd had proportional representation for this election just gone we'd have a con-ukip coalition right now Confused Still want pr though I can't be a hypocrite

Now the excitement is over the country can go on as was before Smile I remember the last election there was no que at the polling office (my primary school assembly hall) while this year there was.

I swear I had something to say. Writing about my school above had me thinking about it and losing the thought I had ready to say Think Might be back tonight
