Okay, now that I've read all the specs on this, I'll speak my mind: With this kind of gauging, this better be just as good as OK Computer. OR ELSE. JK

But really, Itunes charges $9 for an AAC file that's a much higher quality, includes digital liner notes, and can be easily accessed through your Itunes account. Amazon MP3 sells new albums like this for $8 at most.

Why is Thom doing all this highway robbery?

Oh well. I'll still buy it anyway and (probably) really enjoy it. I'm just sorta annoyed.

You have no reason to be annoyed. 256 kpbs AAC is NOT better than a 320 kpbs MP3. It's plain ignorant to assume that just because something is a supposedly better format (iTunes AAC), it is better than a higher bitrate in another, also lossy format. The bitrate is the most important thing with lossy files, not the format. iTunes store files are only 256 kpbs AAC, while these files are 320 kpbs MP3. In addition, an uncompressed WAV download is offered for five dollars more. That price increase for true lossless quality is the only ripoff. I'm just glad they're offering it at all, unlike with In Rainbows. Also, how do you know they won't include digital liner notes? I wouldn't be at all surprised if they did. I expect nothing but the highest quality from Radiohead. I can't say the same thing for iTunes.

no need to compare or condemn things before you've experienced them Teodor
