I love this band, but have never got this album. Everyone else seems to love it though, what am I missing?

Definitely my favorite album from Animal Collective. Very easy to take, and still so rich.

If I were to describe this album in one word; it'd be tranquil. Through all of the aquatic-like drones, ballistic freak outs and the introspection, it still manages to relax the mind and soul. Animal Collective are just the best.

Amazing album. It makes me feel as if I'm lying in the grass during a summer night, just taking in the heat.



Also if you like this album, check out the B-sides from this era, there's some amazing hidden gems.

Undoubtedly my favorite Animal Collective release from a pretty incredible discography.

Banshee Beat is something special.

It takes more listens than the others. The songs are more subtle and they definitely grow on you a lot.

Definitely my favorite Animal Collective album. Although maybe second to Person Pitch if I were including solo LPs.
This one has several of their most beautiful songs on it. Banshee Beat in particular is amazing.

Not the biggest Animal Collective fan, but this one is very satisfying. Playful serenity.
