Huh, tough one. Both teams have things I love and things I'm really ambivalent about. Leaning 94 right now because I think the album team is more consistent overall.

'94 without a second thought. The 2004 is good, but I'm not too big on the Regina Spektor and !!! albums, and that '94 team is just ballin.

'94 easy.
Let's see. Crooked Rain & SAW II (my favorite Aphex album) seal the deal alone. Just special albums that are a level above anything on Team 2004 for me. That Stina album is pretty special too. I dig !!! especially that Giulani single, but it's definitely not one of the best albums from 2004 whereas '94 is solid throughout.

94 with absolutely no hesitation. The albums team def hits every loud, diverse note possible, and JoD is def winner of the most bizzare mood whiplash so far with these tournament teams by placing Gravediggaz right next to Stina Nordenstam - really just all excellent selections across the board. Even if I can't stand to hear Black Hole Sun for the 1000th time, that hardly diminishes a very strong singles team.
2004 on the other hand does very little to absolutely nothing. I like the Ghostface album but it's far from brilliant or Ghost at his best, and the singles team does have the benefit of much nostalgia value with that Lazyboy single (RIP Greg Giraldo) and that Architecture in Helsinki track is fun if nothing revelatory. Really nothing at all here to make me reconsider my vote, though.

I'm not saying I'm proud of the fact that I b-team'd a fixture I knew I couldn't win, but thanks for driving the point home.

I can understand the 'whiplash' comment, but was simply trying to add a little diversity. Just kicking myself for not picking a year that included some disco, jazz, or funk. Anyways, thanks for the votes so far
