A solid effort, but Maiden would go on to make better melodies later on as their songwriting deepened. Shows their hard rock beginnings and how their formative years sounded, though, so there is that. But it doesn't even hold a candle to Powerslave, Number of the Beast, or Seventh Son.

Much less controversial AOTD here haha.

Good stuff on this one, but no matter what anyone says, Maiden did not hit their stride until Bruce Dickinson joined the band. I don't care how raw this one is. It's simply not as good.

lies. filthy, dirty lies I tell ya. Twisted Evil

The first two are my absolute favorite, but all their 80s stuff is awesome. If I had to rank 'em...

Killers
s/t
Piece Of Mind
Number of the Beast
Powerslave

---------------------
Somewhere In Time

-----------------------

That bloated prog mess (Razz)

No such thing as a bloated prog mess in the Maiden catalog especially not 7th Son. Powerslave is their best imo.

Oh come on! We've agreed before, Gowi. Don't let our differences on Nirvana get in the way of everything else!

EDIT: Bro, we saw Yes together and didn't even know it. That's how connected we are.
