RIP Mac Miller. He had an impact in my youth and especially in those around me. I have plenty of great memories with my friends while listening to Mac. If you haven't yet I highly recommend listening to his Faces mixtape, which is one of my favorite mixtapes all time, even if it is a bit too long.

Check out Go:od AM as well as Faces. Those are his top two records in my opinion, with Swimming coming in as his third best. Normally death doesn't bother me much, but this one hurts a bit. When you grow up listening to Mac with your friends it feels like you lost one of the homies. After I get off work today I'm going to stop by my best friends house (Mac Miller is one of his favorite artists of any genre) and spark one up in honor of Mr. Larry Fisherman. May he Rest In Peace.

Conway Savage passed away last week from a brain tumour. Conway Savage was the keyboardist in Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds from Henry's Dream through to Push The Sky Away, as well his own solo releases, and working with other musicians including David McComb, Robert Forster, Dave Graney, and Kim Salmon.
It has been over 23 years but nary a day goes by that i don't get teary eyed thinking about Jerry Garcia. It is weird to love someone so deeply that you never actually met, i was in his presence many times but never got to actually meet him. His art however has touched my soul to such an extent that short my family he may have had one o f the biggest influences on my life. I was lucky enough to avoid his pitfalls, though i do enjoy some cannibus from time to time never got into the hard stuff that ruined his gift and took his life.
On a side note. If you want to see a pretty damn good movie about loss with some incredible music go see A Star Is Born, I found it truly riveting and the music was powerful as well. Just saw it yesterday and it blew me away like no movie has in a long time and i go once or twice a week.
