Mate, him and Gregory were always my dad's top two. I grew up on Rock 'n' Groove and Sings the Wailers. A huge loss.

Even though it has been over a month, but Double K of People Under The Stairs passed away. His death startled me like not knowing about Harod Budd's death. Also for hip hop listeners, I say give the duo a shot and they have a good size discography to boot.

Lars Göran Petrov has passed away. He was most notably the frontman and vocalist of Entombed. And one of the best frontmen in death metal, instrumental to the Stockholm scene. Scratch that, in the early 90s he was one of the best frontmen period. I’m gonna be playing Left Hand Path all day, rip LG.

Saw that. Very sad casualty of cancer.

I myself listened to left hand path today in honor. Great great stuff.

He said something similar about all the dogs he adopted. DMX had an interesting relationship with dogs. He was arrested for animal cruelty but looking back at that sentence, it's MUCH more likely that police found something worse (aka drugs and/or guns) and decided to charge him with the "lesser" charge of animal cruelty, purely over the fact that he had upwards of 10 pitbulls on his property. But based on DMX's interactions before and since, he was clearly enamored with all the dogs he'd ever interacted with. I mean, his first arrest was for smuggling puppies out of a junkyard. Sorry, weird story, but for some reason that always stuck with me. The guy who barked while rapping loved dogs, something just feels right about that.

"For My Dogs"... this one's for you X

Everyone wanted to work with her but it was like trying to trap lightning in a bottle. Mick Harvey managed to coral her into the recording studio, but these precious offerings are a fraction of what she was.

She was the smartest and most talented of all of us, by far.

Walked into the most prestigious art college in Australia — on a whim — and talked her way into being given a place there. Bought an easel, some butcher’s paper, some crayons, put on a dress, did her hair and never went back in.

She thought the best ideas were the ones that never saw the light of day.

She was the brains behind The Birthday Party, wrote a bunch of their songs, wrote ‘From Her to Eternity’, ‘The World’s a Girl’, ’Sugar in a Hurricane’ and my favourite Bad Seeds song, ‘Stranger Than Kindness’, but was much more than that.

One of a kind. RIP
