This was a favorite album of mine for several years, and I'm still wondering which album to kick off my Top 100 Albums list to make room for this one. As it is I already have 19 from the 2000s.
Anyway, after a couple disappointing follow-ups (starting with Cassadaga, which is actually a fairly solid 3-4 star record), I sort of got annoyed by Bright Eyes and Conor Oberst. Nonetheless, something about this album really appeals to me. Short and sweet, deliciously folk-tinged, and simply excellent songwriting.
