Really liking the album title, this song - not so much.
Reminds me a lot of Arcade Fire's Reflecktor, a shift in sound but they sound as though they can't let go of what made up their old core. Complete tonal mess, imo. The drums, vocals and guitar all sound like they're from seperate songs.
This song is brilliant! _________________ "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming"
DJ Quik and Problem released an expanded, differently sequenced version of their Rosecrans EP from last year and it is so much better than the original. A true love letter to LA. New guest spots from Suga Free, MC Eiht, Dom Kennedy, Boogie. Perfect summer music. Top five for the year in terms of hip-hop. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
I'm starting to feel more and more out of touch by the day
Good to see the band is still relevant though, hope the album comes together nicely, would love to love it.

Never heard the original, but will listen for sure. I always forget about Quik but never regret putting on some of his work.
One of my favourite things about Hip Hop is how lax its culture is about stuff like this, building on and releasing stuff as the artists see fit.
new Laurel Halo leaked. The highs are among her best work imo but idk how I feel about the record as a whole. Definitely need more time with it. It's a lot like Quarantine so I should fucking love it but hmmmmm let's see if it grows...
Is it cheating if the album you speak off is a re release?
With myself and I suspect others as you first start getting into music there are keystone albums that you particulary remember and one of those records for me was Prince and the Revolution 's Purple Rain soundtrack. Next month Purple Rain deluxe arrives a 3d/1 dvd box set and def cannot wait. Includes, A new production of the original album by Prince himself, several discs full of unreleased material, b sides, 12 inch mixes, alternative edits etc and a full dvd concert of PATR going at it in Syracuse in 1985. Shaping up to be one of the most significant releases of it's type.
The new Jlin album is streaming over on NPR, and it is very good. First impression is that it is a step up from Dark Energy. _________________ Overall - The 2010's - 2020
