I've updated my list quite a bit recently. I don't know what it's going to look like at the end of this year.

Wait, how did Burial release a new single back in May and I just stumbled upon it since I never saw it mentioned anywhere? Is it not cool to anticipate Burial's stuff anymore?

Damn... forgot about that Confused Haven't even given it a listen yet. I think people just want him to drop a new album... something a little longer? Dunno.

Anyway, the new Jay-Z album is awful. Shocked at the positive reviews.

Does anybody know where I'd be able to find a track from the new Avey Tare album?

Also, who else is excited for the two Shabazz Palaces records out this Friday?

Avey Tare has leaked, you should be able to find it around. As for Shabazz, I haven't listened to the second record, but the first one was pretty strong. Not as good as Black Up, but still really good.

New Tyler, The Creator leaked. Looking forward to giving it a listen later.

whenever anyone asked me "hey Tap what is your favorite Iranian electroacoustic album combining traditional instruments from the region with really forward-thinking synthesized sounds" I'd have an easy answer lined up with that one Dariush Dolat-Shahi album but I may not be so quick with the answer in the future because this is happening

And on a very different sound, I am very excited for this new Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith album, I heard some of this stuff live and if you dig this preview track I think you should keep an eye on this one

For those who enjoyed

Ears Are Filled With Wonder by Peter Br...ther Leigh
from last year, they've released another album this year

Sex Tape by Peter Brötzmann & Heather Leigh
Very cool duo that I'm glad to see continuing. Haven't seen this duo but I will be seeing Ken Vandermark and Susan Alcorn next month which is the same set up. Brötzmann comes to Texas frequently and Leigh is from here, but i haven't seen them post any shows together.

Also,

Araminta by Harriet Tubman
for fans of Melvin Gibbs and Leo Smith

Short Passing Game by Davy Kehoe
And

The Shape Of Things To Come by Bill Converse
Recommended for dbz, Norman, joy, tap, et al.
